Are you looking for a tranquil spot to enjoy a short break from everyday life? Then look no further…this is the perfect place for a couple or a single traveller in the heart of Byron’s glorious hinterland. Alfie’s is a delightful one bedroom cottage set on a 10 acre property well away from the main house.  It is peaceful and private and enjoys a lovely view over the garden to the tree-studded valley beyond.

Sleep in comfort in your king-size bed and wake up to the sound of the birds. Enjoy a glass of wine watching a beautiful sunset from your private deck. Spend lazy days meandering through winding country lanes taking in breathtaking views and stopping for coffee or lunch at a hidden-away cafe. Snuggle up on the comfy red sofa and enjoy listening to music or watching a DVD…or simply gazing out at the view.

There is a wonderful range of dining options within a 10 minute drive or if you prefer to stock up on great produce from one of the local farmers’ markets and eat in, Alfie’s is equipped with a small kitchenette and a bbq. There will be a welcoming fruit and goodies bowl to greet you.

Helpful Details

Bed linen, towels, soap, hair dryer & iron are provided (BYO beach towels). The kitchenette contains: kettle, toaster, mini oven, rice cooker and plug-in double electric plates. There is a BBQ on the deck. We provide pantry essentials such as tea, plunger coffee, milk, sugar, oil, salt and pepper.

Coorabell is superbly situated for your hinterland break. All that this special area has to offer is within a short drive….the delightful village of Bangalow; Byron Bay with its fabulous beaches, shops & restaurants; Mullumbimby with its rural-town feel and growing number of fantastic eateries and eclectic shops; great country cafes in idyllic locations; farmers’ markets; antique shops and galleries…the list goes on.

The cottage is a 35 minute drive from both Lismore & Gold Coast airports.

Your own transport is essential.

Alfie’s is situated on a peaceful 10 acre property in Coorabell. Coorabell is in the Byron Bay Hinterland and is ideally situated to explore both the world renowned beaches and cruisy cafes of Byron Bay and explore the world heritage areas of the hinterland.
  • a 5 minute drive to Federal where you will find the well-known general store & bottle shop,  (perfect for grabbing last minute food essentials and supplies) and Doma Cafe serving delicious Japanese food
  •  a 10 min drive to the wonderful village of Bangalow, its pretty high street home to some wonderful cafes & restaurants and an array of interesting and eclectic shops. The colourful once-monthly market (on the 4th Sunday) is not to be missed
  • a 12 minute drive to Mullumbimby, known as “The Biggest Little Town in Australia”! It has a wealth of great shops, cafes and restaurants
